On Friday afternoon, more than 150 guests attended this year’s celebration of service jubilees and innovators. At the ceremony in the pleasant ambience of the Knights’ Hall of the Slovenska Bistrica Castle and accompanied by the Maja Založnik Moonshine TRIO, those celebrating 10, 20, 30 or 40 years of loyalty to Impol received plaques of recognition, and innovators from different Impol member companies received special awards. All the recipients of plaques and awards also received the Impol emblems, and those loyal to Impol for 40 years were additionally presented with symbolic crystal bowls. This year was the first to feature an award for the most innovative company in the Impol group.
This year, the number of recipients of plaques and awards in the Impol group in Slovenska Bistrica totalled 134:
- 10 years: 44 plaques of recognition
- 20 years: 16 plaques of recognition
- 30 years: 51 plaques of recognition
- 40 years: 7 plaques of recognition
- 16 innovator of the year awards
Among the innovators of the year was Mr. Boštjan Turin, head of the maintenance department in our company. This year his particular outstanding innovative contribution was to propose an investment in the filtering and reuse of slug stamping lubrication oil. In the stamping stage, oil becomes contaminated by various impurities, and contaminated oil cannot be reused. Thus, some 10,000 litres of oil have to date been discarded as waste. Boštjan proposed the acquisition of a special filtering system, which enables the used oil to be filtered and reused with new oil at a ratio of three to one. This economically judicious and environmentally friendly investment in the new filtering system will be financially paid back in little more than one year.
The title of the most innovative company in the Impol group in 2016 was awarded to our company. Specifically, this year saw a host of activities in the Rondal company. Progress was notable both in terms of production volume growth as well as in terms of the renovation and rearrangement of the production premises. Particular praise goes to numerous employees who took an active part in the rearranging of their working environment, rolled up their sleeves and collaborated in its improvement. At the awards ceremony, the engagement of all the employees of the Rondal company was recognised, as demonstrated through the largest number of submitted useful suggestions. This total of 130 useful suggestions in a year is the absolute record in the Impol group. Good relations, considerate governance and listening to the employees have brought positive results. The employees know that their opinions and suggestions count and are aware that they, too, can contribute to a good working environment and the success of the company. For these reasons, this year for the first time, the Impol group recognised its most innovative member company with a special award. This award was earned by the Rondal company management and all the employees, who, combining their efforts, proved that boundaries are present foremost only in our heads and that a positive approach can yield unimaginable feats
