Between 7th and 9th of November 2017, Rondal was assessed to obtain the standard of the automotive industry IATF 16949:2016. The audit was conducted under the auspices of the Bureau Veritas auditorium and was extremely comprehensive and accurate. The reviewers focused mainly on identifying and managing risks and opportunities, controlling the input of raw material and other materials, and controlling all services performed by individual processes. During the audit, a special emphasis was placed on recording customer requirements, addressing requirements and implementing them throughout all processes. Naturally, quality control and supervision of the process of producing products for the needs of the automotive industry was also under consideration.
According to the director of the company Dominik Strmšek, the assessment was very successful. The reviewers found only seven minor inconsistencies, that were eliminated by employees before the expiry of the 60-day deadline for the elimination of the found inconsistencies.
“The assessment was very useful for our company,” says Dominik Strmšek. “A lot of inconsistencies between and within processes have been found even before the audit itself – in the preparation phase for certification. It turned out that preparation itself has helped a lot to improving the quality of process management. Last but not least, obtaining a certificate according to IATF 16949: 2016 is an indispensable condition for achieving better results in the field of product quality and, consequently, penetrating the market of the automotive industry, as we will gain even greater trust from our customers.”
